Closed box Trailer
A closed box trailer is a versatile semi-trailer with a fully enclosed cargo area, protected by solid walls and a roof. Known as a "kastenaufbau" in Germany, this design makes the trailer ideal for transporting fragile goods and bulk items over both short and long distances.
Curtainsider Trailer
Curtainsider trailers are the most common trailers on the road. Also known as tautliners, named after the brand that first introduced them, these trailers feature sturdy yet flexible sidewalls and a roof. Thanks to the sliding curtain system, cargo can be loaded and unloaded not only from the rear but also from the sides and from above. This makes curtainsider trailers ideal for transporting goods of various sizes, palletized items, and construction materials.
Refrigerated Trailer
Refrigerated trailers, also known as reefer trailers, are essentially enclosed trailers equipped with a cooling unit. These cooling units typically maintain temperatures ranging from -25°C to +25°C. This makes refrigerated trailers ideal for transporting perishable goods such as food products, flowers, plants, pharmaceuticals, and even musical instruments.
Tipper
A tipper, or tipper trailer, is characterized by a hydraulic bed that can be easily tilted. Depending on the trailer, it can tip backward, sideways, or in both directions. This system allows for quick and efficient unloading, making tipper trailers ideal for transporting and unloading bulk materials and construction supplies such as sand, gravel, soil, and debris.
Low Loader Trailer
A low loader trailer features a lowered loading deck, making it ideal for transporting exceptionally heavy, tall, or oversized loads that cannot be carried on standard trailers. Low loaders are commonly used for transporting heavy machinery, construction vehicles, and agricultural equipment.
Container Chassis Trailer
A container chassis trailer is designed specifically for transporting shipping containers. Most chassis can accommodate multiple container sizes, such as two 20-foot containers or one 40-foot container. Using a container chassis reduces loading and unloading times, as these operations are performed independently of the vehicle.
Walking Floor Trailer
A walking floor trailer, also known as a moving floor trailer, features a specialized movable floor that can automatically shift heavy loads within the trailer, either forward or backward. The floor system consists of narrow, movable slats that slide in three sections, enabling cargo to be loaded or unloaded without the need to tilt the trailer. This type of trailer is commonly used in situations where tipping is not practical.
